Pathological processes that affect the retina and the vitreous will be described. Appropriate methods of examination and ancillary studies for the diagnosis of viteroretinal disorders will be discussed. Data from major prospective clinical trials in the management of selected viteroretinal disorders will be presented. Principles of medical and surgical treatment of viteroretinal disorders will be discussed.
